RE: Alternate Australian Dictionaries

Randall,

Yes, the PlusPack does let you decompile dictionaries into a Text File if the creator of the dictionary permits it - and we do permit it with our Aussie Dictionary.

I don't know if Kelvin "permits" it - but I think he does have his word list also available for download...

Hi Glen - how can I do a "diff" of these AU dictionaries to what is supplied on your website, to see if we really want to include them with our software? A while back, you guys gave use the Plus Pack, although I have not looked at it yet. Does the Plus Pack allow me to reverse engineer an ADM files so I can see a text list of the words it has, so I can then do a diff to see what is different?

cheers
-randall

After going to the above URL, click on the OpenOffice.Org Logo at the bottom
of the page, this will take you to the page with the Addict dictionaries.

These are the same Australian Dictionaries that are used in OpenOffice,
FireFox, etc - which you can now use in your Applications that use Addict.
