Unfortunately, neither Glenn nor I could reproduce this. Could you give us
a little background information:
What dictionary do you have loaded?
What is the word.word you're using?
What OS are you using?
What is the version of each RichEd*.dll on your machine?
Could you attempt to discover if it is a painting problem or if its an
update problem?
To determine if its a painting problem, insert the space and then drag a
notepad window over the other window and see if the underline disappears.
Does the underline disappear when you move the cursor to another line?

I would agree... I think this would be a logical suggestion to make... I'll
see if I can't get it in.
Thanks,
